The Heppell of the United States are for a great majority of Quebec origin and live mainly in New England States.

Other american families are of English origin. Some of them are descendants of Richard George Heppell and Harriet Sarah Houghton, who emigrated in the United States after their marriage in England, the 25th of December 1865.
